It's now the fall of 2018. The world is still a mess. I'm in Val des Monts Quebec we've had an interesting time getting the A-frame ready. We had some terrific people here this summer and expect more for the fall. September and October are beautiful months here.
Out west, where I live most of the year over-development has already made the Lower Mainland seaside not really very welcoming for swimmers. Massive ocean vessels carry bitumen once a week to Asia -- til their alternative forms of energy overtake carbon...in the not-too-distant future. If Trudeau's pipeline goes through that will increase to one a day.
I have grave concerns about the state of the world, the speed by which capitalism is marginalizing the majority of the world's people and the increase in both domestic and weaponized violence perpetrated with the support of governments throughout the world. Community, art, people playing music and dancing together, writing a story, telling the truth are the cornerstones of our survival. That's what I think!
